In most cases, yes. A design—or at minimum a clear sketch or drawing that defines the scope of construction—is essential to guide the work accurately.
If you are making a meaningful investment in your landscape, a design provides clarity on what will be delivered. Design fees are typically in the range of approximately 10% of the construction cost and serve as a valuable tool in aligning expectations before work begins. For straightforward scopes—such as removing sod and replacing it with gravel—a simple estimate may be sufficient. However, when the project scope is unclear, undefined, or involves multiple elements, a design is strongly recommended. It streamlines decision-making, reduces risk, and ultimately saves time and cost for all involved.

We work across all project scales, from the installation of select plantings to full-scope acreage and commercial sites. Our team supports all aspects of construction, from landscape renovations to complete new builds, ensuring a cohesive and well-executed result.

Trees, shrubs and evergreens have a one year warranty. Perennials, Birch (betula), cedars, boxwoods, vegetation in planters or raised above grade boxes, and vegetation not zoned for Calgary are not warrantied. Warranty does not include transportation and planting service, this will be charged separately.

Invoicing occurs following the phase and/or project completion. Payment terms are 15 days following invoice receipt. We accept cheques, Bank drafts or e-transfers for payment.

Landscape project costs can vary significantly depending on scope, materials, and level of craftsmanship. We invite you to contact us so we can review your project and provide an accurate, tailored quotation.

Newly installed or transplanted plant material should be watered daily, immediately following planting. Water frequency may vary depending on weather and temperature; however, consistent moisture is critical during the establishment period.
Each plant should be watered individually at the root ball for approximately 2–3 weeks after planting. This focused watering supports proper root establishment and reduces transplant stress. After the initial establishment phase, watering frequency can be gradually reduced, transitioning to deeper, less frequent watering to encourage strong root growth.

Let fallen leaves act as a natural mulch to protect soil and roots. Avoid pruning until spring, and water thoroughly before freeze-up to prepare plants for winter.
