The new deck extends the entire back of the house as a custom made pergola structure creating an outdoor / indoor room for year round use. The elevated flower beds and planters help eliminate the requirement for railings and thus opens up the views and integrates the deck with the lower patio. The hot tub is in the middle and acts as a transition between the spaces. The central stairs line up to the french doors of the living room and lead to the water feature with the offset custom design fire table which is the main feature in the backyard. Every aspect of this project down to each individual planter, was carefully detailed and designed. The extensive patio allows for a lounging area, as well as a comfortable dining space and still provides open space for dancing and casual social gathering, all elements that were important to the homeowners. They have used this space for events this summer and love the functionality and the aesthetics. Everything from the material selection, to how the elements tie into one another to create a cohesive and integrated backyard oasis was thoughtfully detailed and truly appreciated by the clients.
